OF OVER 100,000Mars Bio owns 140 million m² of grasslands in the Li Town of Gansu Province, which produces 13 tons of fresh forage annually and has the capacity to raise over 100,000 livestock. SQT Biotech has established a growing base and grassland protection center on the site to manage the grassland in a scientific and sustainable manner. The area is rich in water and grass and is an ideal natural habitat for animals.

Mars Bio has 20 million m² of horse ranches in the Gaotai Town of Gansu Province. The ranches specialize in the breeding of horses and donkeys and produce biomaterials for agricultural, pharmaceutical, health and beauty purposes. Forage processing plants and warehouses of 7745 m² in total have been built to meet the feeding demands of the 3000 horses and 10,000 donkeys in stock. Menus for the animals are designed by professional in-house veterinarian and made with various high-quality fodders that contain protein, fibers, vitamins and minerals. As one of the largest horse ranch in the world, the base has the capacity to raise at least 100,000 additional horses upon request.

AND QUALITYThe production area has been built in accordance with the national GMP (good manufacturing practice) standard, the only one of its kind in China. For serum harvesting,we pioneered the technology using a modified human-blood apheresis machine to protect the well being of our horses and ensure product sterilization. This technology has also been recently adopted by the Chinese Pharmacopeia (2015th edition) as the national standard for horse serum production.
